Maranda Joiner, Entrepreneurs Need Self Care Too

Excuses, so many valid ones too. So many reasons not to, but understand that how we run ourselves is how we run our businesses… Chatting with Maranda Joiner, she reminded me that entrepreneurs need self-care too!

When I watched Self Made, the show about Madam CJ Walker, I watched how she worked herself to death. Sure, making sure your business is running successfully, but I have to wonder if she took time to take care of herself, would she have lived a longer life? Would she be able to enjoy the fruits of her labor? Sure, she left a legacy, but her life was cut short because she did not take care of self. I am like entrepreneurs need self-care too!

I don’t buy into the idea of, “I will rest when I die” motto because, for one, life is already short. When you add the stressors of job, life, and other things, that eats away at our time as well.

I had the chance to talk with Maranda Joiner, a Brand Strategist and just an amazing woman with so much knowledge. We chatted a lot about branding, self-care, and more. Check out the interview below.
