Read the Bible In A Year Challenge Starts June 1, 2024

Ladies, have you been putting off studying the Bible? Are you having a challenge with staying consistent? Well, join me and a group of ladies to go through the Bible Recap together! I am almost done reading The Bible in a Year using “The Bible In 52 Weeks” by Dr. Kimberly Moore. I have a couple of reviews of the plan here, You Need to Read The Bible For Yourself and The Bible In 52 Weeks Review.

There were some great things about the plan and some not-so-great things. I loved that it went back and forth from old to new and new to old. I enjoyed the pace of the plan. I wasn’t a fan of the devotionals and how they only pertained to a few chapters from that week. I wanted more of a synopsis of the chapters and some cultural context. So I looked at a few bible study plans and finalized on The Bible Recap for many reasons! The accessibility was one! You can listen to it on Spotify and YouTube! You can even get it in the Bible App!

We will be starting June 1, 2024 but will be having launch parties!!!

5 Reasons to Study Your Word Daily

  • It is a gift from God that shares who He is, what He wants from us, what He wants to give us, His promises, how to live and so much more.
  • It is definitely transformative. My life has changed! So many lessons learned from reading about the many lives and stories in the Bible
  • Because we entered into covenant with GOD, you want to get to know Him intimately and deeply. His Word reveals so many truths.
  • You need to know the Word for yourself. Man, the many mindblowing moments when I realized that the preacher did not give the full context or taught it poorly.
  • Because you love God!!! You want more and more of Him.

Scriptures to encourage you to read the Bible!

  1. Joshua 1:8 (NIV):”Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
  2. Psalm 119:105 (NIV):”Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
  3. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV):”All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
  4. Hebrews 4:12 (NIV):”For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
  5. Romans 15:4 (NIV):”For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.”
