Doing It Big in Your 30s.

Yall, hands down, my 30s have been the best decade ever! I say that even with 45 in office for four of my years. My 20s filled with traveling and living in amazing places.

My teen years, yes fun, great childhood filled with crazy emotions lol! My 20s, the college thing, that was not fun! Small and racist, had to transfer. Failing school, figuring out who I am. I worked at Disney World, experienced institutional racism in the workforce, moved to Miami with $300 to my name, those were amazing years. Found my ex-husband, lol that was mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically draining. Then my 30s started, got divorced at 30 and that is when my life began to accelerate.

If you have been following for the past 6 years, you know that I moved to Dallas, TX and started life over. New place, new career, and new people. My blog became a highlight and helped me make a name for myself. I was invited places to blog about, got to interview people and more. I traveled a lot. Began my artistic life. And now, started a nonprofit Bookstore and Literacy Center. My 30s have been amazing.

Another thing, I learned to love my voice and be confident in it! Blogging, teaching and dealing with all the craziness in this world as allowed me to be observant and then begin to own my own truths. I stopped apologizing for who I am. I began loving my body and not caring what others think of it. I began to forgive myself and give myself grace. My 30s is the transitional platform I needed to set myself up for amazing things to come!
