Stillness in Renewal, A Poem by Becca Barnes

Stillness in Renewal By Becca Barnes

I lie down on a hill in a cemetery,

overlooking the place where I lost my voice.

Cardinals remind me of His presence here,

while trees radiate the stillness of renewal.

Sunshine warms my face as gratitude grows within,

for healing in my soul that’s taken root.

Boldness is simmering inside me.

Words are being uncovered.

My stories must be shared

to inspire the hopeless whose light has been smothered.

Bio
